In-the-Ear (ITE)
This easy-to-operate device is housed in a custom-made shell that fits comfortably inside the ear, delivering sound directly to the ear. The In-the-Ear mould fills most of the visible portion of the ear. This is the largest of the In-the-Ear options and is easy to manage because of the size and user-friendly controls.
In-the-Canal (ITC)
The In-the-Canal is smaller than the In-the-Ear hearing aids and is partially visible in the outer ear. These devices are a good balance between a cosmetically appealing but manageable hearing aid and are suitable for mild to severe losses.
Completely-in-Canal (CIC)
Completely-in-Canal hearing aids are custom-fit devices that fit all the way in the ear canal. They are rarely visible and are therefore the most cosmetically appealing of the In-the-Ear options. Some hearing aid wearers with narrow ear canals may not be candidates for CICs. These tiny instruments are most suitable for mild to moderate losses.
