$1,000 Government subsidy

The Ministry of Health entitles New Zealand citizens and permanent residents aged 16 years and over to a government subsidy of $1022.22 toward a pair of hearing aids, or up to $511.11 towards a single hearing aid, once every six years.

ACC Funding

If your type of work has taken a toll on your hearing, you might be eligible for funding from ACC. ACC may contribute towards the cost of your hearing aids, hearing aid maintenance and repairs, and replacement of batteries as you need them. They will also provide support for you to replace your hearing aids once every six years.

Veterans' Affairs

Returned service veterans may be eligible for funding if their hearing loss has been damaged as a result of military service. To start this process, you need to see your GP and contact Veterans’ Affairs. Following this, our audiologists can provide all services to you.

WINZ Payments

At Bay Audiology we accept the WINZ credit payments. You need to obtain a quote for hearing aids from Bay Audiology and will then need to contact your local WINZ office to go through this process.
