Ann first noticed she might have hearing loss when she couldn’t hear her cellphone ringing and struggled to hear the TV properly. She decided to get her hearing checked at Bay Audiology. Getting hearing aids made Ann realise what she was missing out on. “It was like a lightbulb moment, it was like ‘wow’ I haven’t heard that sound in a while. You don’t know what you’ve lost until you can hear again.” Being able to hear properly has had a positive impact on her life and the lives of those round her. “I think hearing aids have changed my life for the better. I can hear the whole picture. Rather than hear bits and pieces. It’s not so fragmented, I can get the story going.”
"I really like the fact that nobody knows I have hearing aids except for the people that I've told. To start I would keep my glasses kept down because I thought people would be able to see the hearing aids, but they don't and that's terrific. No one really knows that I have them and I have better hearing for it."
