Make a difference with your old hearing aids

Donate your hearing aids to help others experience the joy of hearing

From 2016 to 2019, the team from Bay Audiology visited Samoa for our Free to Ear Programme. Due to Samoa having limited access to hearing health care, we developed this initiative to help the community in Apia rediscover the joy of hearing. With the help of local organisations, our team has been able to provide free hearing checks, ear wax removals and fit donated hearing aids during their visits.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, our team were unable to visit in 2020. However, we hope to return in the near future and continue to help the Apia community with their hearing. Donated hearing aids will be used towards our next Free to Ear Programme.

How to donate your hearing aids

If you'd like to contribute to our next venture in spreading the joy of hearing, you can start by donating your old hearing aids. You can drop them off at any Bay Audiology clinic. To find out which of our 115+ locations is most convenient for you, click here.

We have also teamed up with the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFDHH) to support their Hearing Aid Fund for New Zealanders who have hearing loss and are facing financial hardship. Bay Audiology will offer 100 successful applicants $500 towards the purchase of hearing aids. To learn more about the Hearing Aid Fund, visit the NFDHH website.
