Clients outside of Auckland

Upcoming appointments management for clients outside of Auckland – from Wednesday 8 September

At Alert Level 2, Bay Audiology clinics outside of Auckland will reopen from Wednesday 8 September with increased safety measures in place. If you have an appointment booked, you are able to attend this as scheduled. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact local clinic to reschedule.

If you are attending an appointment or planning to visit your clinic, we encourage you to:

  • Ensure you use the NZ COVID Tracer app or the manual sign in sheet when visiting your local clinic.
  • Please wear a mask to the clinic. If you do not have a mask, our team can provide you with a mask to wear.
  • Call your clinic if you would usually pop in to see the team. We may be able to support you over the phone instead. To find the contact details of your nearest clinic, please visit our Find a Clinic page.
  • Only visit the clinic if you are well and are not experiencing cold or flu symptoms, such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, sneezing or runny nose, or loss of sense of smell.
  • Follow government advice if you have been at a location of interest or in close contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 and remain in self-isolation as per the government requirements.

We are happy to reschedule any appointments to a later date if you are unable to attend your appointment time for any reason. Please call your local clinic or 0800 600 130 to speak to our friendly team.

Increased safety measures to protect you and our team members

When you visit your local clinic, you can be assured that we have a range of measures to ensure the safety of both our clients and team members. These measures go above and beyond advice provided by the Ministry of Health.

  • We are contacting our clients before their appointments to ensure they are in good health and haven’t been at a location of interest or had any other contact with a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19.
  • Masks will be worn by our team to ensure their safety as well as that of our clients.
  • Clients are asked to wash / sanitise hands on entry and our team members are washing / sanitising their hands at regular intervals throughout the day.
  • Regular cleaning of surfaces between appointments.
  • You can continue to purchase batteries, consumables and accessories from our Online Store

We realise that the use of masks may make communication difficult so appreciate your patience and understanding as we introduce this step in our clinics.

You can continue to purchase batteries, consumables and accessories from our Online Store

Our Online Store has most items that you may usually purchase from clinic. Please note that due to increased demand and courier delays, deliveries of purchases from our Online Store may take up to 10 days to reach you.

Auckland based clients

Upcoming appointment management

While we are temporarily closed under Alert Level 3 and 4, we will be contacting all clients with an impacted appointment, to reschedule this to a future date.

There is no need to call us, we will be in touch to reschedule your appointment.

Supporting you and your hearing and Alert Level 3:

Contactless and remote servicing

While our clinics are closed, at Alert Level 3 we can continue to support you and your hearing through remote and contactless services including:

  • You can call your clinic if you have a query or need assistance
  • Troubleshooting hearing aid issues or hearing concerns you may have remotely
  • Contactless repair service: we can arrange a drop-off appointment time for hearing aid repairs at selected clinics
  • General insurance replacements for lost or damaged hearing aids

Urgent in-clinic care services

If you require urgent care that we are unable to provide remotely, at Alert Level 3 we can provide selected services in-person. These services are by appointment only and will be provided with increased safety measures in place. Remote and contactless solutions will be used where possible.

Urgent in-clinic care services are specifically limited as permitted by the Ministry of Health; they are:

  • Repair, maintenance or supply of hearing aid services to those for whom any delay will impact the ability to maintain functional independence and significantly negatively impact quality of life
  • Urgent hearing consultations as requested by a medical specialist or General Practitioner

Please note the Kumeu clinic is unable to offer these services due to the recent flooding.

If you need urgent in-clinic support, please book your appointment at your local clinic, or call our friendly contact centre team on 0800 600 130 or email enquires@bayaudiology.co.nz. Both our clinics and contact centre team are available Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.
